Usually, buildings with elevators have a permanent opening in the shaft ceiling or shaft wall. Because of gaps in the elevator doors, warm indoor air constantly flows upward through this permanent opening to the outside, due to what’s known as the chimney effect.

This not only leads to a loss of warmth inside the building but also significantly increases heating costs. Change this by installing our enev-kit.

The permanent opening in the elevator shaft is sealed and only opened automatically when needed. This counteracts heat loss and saves on heating energy costs.

High-quality sensors

How the enev-kit works

The smoke extraction system with ventilation and aeration for elevator shafts is controlled by high-quality sensors. Depending on the product, the enev-kit consists of the smoke suction system, a suction line made of plastic pipes, a filter unit, a display (enev-kit e5) or point-type smoke detectors (enev-kit el), a control unit, and a motorized NRWG (Natural Smoke and Heat Exhaust Ventilation Device). Additionally, temperature, humidity, and time control can contribute to improved air quality in the elevator shaft.

The enev-kit detects smoke particles in the drawn-in air. If smoke particles are detected, the NRWG automatically opens via a spring return. In such cases, the enev-kit can send a signal to switch the elevator into evacuation mode. The alarm state of the enev-kit can only be cleared by performing a reset.
